Friends,
The convention is over, and the folks who gathered in Charlotte from all over the country last week have made their way home. But I know the energy we felt--and that Democrats across this nation felt as they watched our president speak--is still alive. I have seen it in all of the emails, tweets and messages you have sent in response to our convention emails. And I saw it in the volunteers who came out with me recently to knock on doors in Virginia, one of the most important swing states in the election.
We are fired up because we know that what happens this November matters, not just for our nation as a whole, but for Prince George's County. We need a president who will create jobs because there are Prince Georgians who need them. We need a president who is committed to education, because our children deserve to go to the best schools in the world. We need a president who will support small businesses because we depend on the thousands of Prince George's County entrepreneurs who help fuel our economy.
